Dr. Liu graduated from Shandong University School of Medicine with a doctorate degree in internal medicine. She has been engaged in clinical internal medicine for 18 years in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University and Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. She also served as associate chief physician and vice-director of department of hematology in Xinhua Hospital. Dr. Liu went to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance as a visiting physician for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation training, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center as a visiting investigator for research on leukemia in 2007. She had been spent 7 years in the United States for research, education, and clinical work since 2012. She finished training in general medicine, obtained a master's degree, and holds FNP license there. She used to be a committee member of Shanghai Association of Hematology, and was awarded the title of "Outstanding Member". She was also awarded ‘Excellence in Global Service’ by California Baptist University in 2016.
